Meet Dr. Joel Romero – Associate Veterinarian at Sky Lake Animal Hospital!

Born and raised in Miami, Dr. Romero has always had a deep connection to animals and his community. From Kennel Assistant to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Romero has dedicated his life to caring for animals since the age of 18. He earned his bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Florida and went on to complete his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee.

With a deep passion for surgery, internal medicine, and client education, Dr. Romero believes that veterinary care is more than just treating pets—it’s about empowering owners to make the best decisions for their furry family members. At Sky Lake Animal Hospital, he prioritizes educating clients, ensuring they understand everything from disease prevention to treatment options. His approach is built on trust, communication, and providing the highest level of care to every patient.
