When traveling for business or taking your family on vacation there is a lot to do and enough stress without having to worry about who is going to take care of your beloved animal companion. This is especially true if your pet has a chronic or acute medical condition that requires a caregiver with some veterinary knowledge and experience.
Rather than impose on a neighbor or rely on a pet sitter with little animal care training, Sky Lake Animal Hospital offers veterinarian-supervised boarding for pets with medical needs. For example, if your dog is epileptic or your cat has diabetes, we are able to offer your pet safe and comfortable boarding as well as any necessary medical care.
We are all pet owners and deliver our boarding service as we would want our own pet cared for. When you bring your pet for boarding they will be personally admitted to the hospital by one of our trained veterinary technician team members.
Your pet’s special health needs, such as medicine administration, food preparation, and exercise restrictions, will all be reviewed with you. In many cases, clients will bring their pet’s own food as many are on special diets.
All boarding pets receive a daily checkup from one of our veterinarians. Required vaccinations must be up to date. Toys and personal items are welcome to help make the pet as comfortable as possible.
Day Care
Daycare and lodging schedules are very similar. The only real difference is that at the end of the day, daycare dogs go home and our lodging dogs get tucked into their suites to sleep.
Dog daycare provides your dogs a fun, safe, and stimulating off-leash environment during the day while you shop, run errands, or attend to work. Dogs are not kept in crates, kennels or runs. They spend most of their day playing and interacting with other dogs. Our daycare facility is both indoor and outdoor.
